Safiyya Vorajee has opened up about celebrating Christmas following the tragic death of her baby daughter Azaylia after decorating her grave with festive decorations. Safiyya, 36, shared a video on Instagram of her giving her daughter's memorial garden a Christmas makeover, complete with small ornaments, plush toys and twinkling lights.
She told her followers that making Azalyia's grave into a "magical place" helps her to deal with her sadness. Safiyya welcomed baby Azaylia in 2020 with ex-boyfriend Ashley Cain.
The tot was sadly diagnosed with leukemia at just eight weeks old and in April 2021 she tragically passed away.
Safiyya told her followers: "Pouring love into Azaylia’s Garden for Christmas is my way of making it special for her. "Making a magical place for my baby during this festive time helps me deal with sadness.
When grieving, there’s no specific way to do things – just focusing on what brings comfort is what matters." She went on to explain that she purchases Christmas gifts for her late daughter, adding: "I also buy her gifts that are for her garden and take them down on Christmas Day, being the best mummy I can be on earth for my angel I love you." Safiyya's update comes after she shared her heartbreak over ex Ashley's new baby, following the announcement that he's due to welcome a son in January with a friend he has known since the age of 18. Safiyya has claimed that Ashley previously asked her if they could have another child together following Azaylia's heartbreaking death, leading her to believe that there could be hope for them to resume their relationship and build a family.
