The Queen’s grandson Peter Phillips has reportedly introduced his new girlfriend to his grandmother. Following a shooting party held on the grounds of Windsor, the father of two is said to have introduced Lindsay Wallace to Her Majesty. After splitting from his ex-wife Autumn last year following 12 years together, insiders have said that the meeting has demonstrated that the couple are a serious item.
“The Queen is one of the most important people in Peter’s life so it’s only right that he introduces Lindsay to her. “It was a very warm meeting and the Queen was clearly delighted to meet someone who makes Peter so happy,” a source told The Sun. Lindsay is the daughter of an oil tycoon and is close friends with Peter’s sister Zara, 39, having attended Gordonstoun, the £40,000-a-year school in Aberdeenshire, together. Since leaving school, Lindsay and Zara have remained in contact, with Lindsay being pictured at Zara’s wedding to Mike Tindall in 2011.
Speaking to The Sun in March last year, a source said: “Her father worked in the oil industry and the family pride themselves on being a Christian family who are pillars of their local community. “Lindsay keeps in touch with a few of the girls from Gordonstoun but really cherishes her friendship with Zara.” While Zara went on to study at the University of Exeter, after leaving school Lindsay began working at a health shop. In recent years however, the mum of two has been a stay-at-home mum and is said to be estranged from her husband of 11 years.
