Four people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in a ‘shocking and brutal’ assault at a park in Altrincham.
Officers were called to reports that a male had been stabbed at the park near Whitlow Avenue in Altrincham at around 4.35pm on Tuesday afternoon (June 15).
A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with potentially life changing injuries.
He remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.

Police and emergency services raced to a property on Falside Crescent, Bathgate, after the incident, which took place at around 8pm on Monday July 5.

Police have arrested a man in connection with a fatal road crash on the A92 last year.
