‘Argylle’ Sets Apple TV+ Release Date

Apple TV+ has moved up the premiere date for Presumed Innocent, its upcoming limited series, starring and executive produced by Jake Gyllenhaal. The series, inspired by Scott Turow’s courtroom thriller, from David E. Kelley, J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot and Warner Bros. TV, will premiere Wednesday, June 12, , just a few days following its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 9. It originally was scheduled to debut on June 14.

UPDATED, 12:50 PM: Ishana Night Shyamalan’s debut film is on the move, again. And the new date is a familiar one. Two months after Warner Bros. shuffled The Watchers back by a week to the June 14-16 Fathers Day frame, the pic is headed back to its original June 7 date.

The film, which earned an impressive $731 million globally when it debuted in 2014, stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain and Matt Damon and is set in a dystopian future in which a group of astronauts must travel to the far reaches of space to find a new planet for humankind to colonize. Paramount Pictures announced the re-release during its presentation to theater owners and executives at CinemaCon, the exhibition industry conference taking place this week in Las Vegas.

Angel Studios, the outfit behind Sound of Freedom, has dated three more theatrical releases rounding out its slate at a presentation Wednesday in Las Vegas.

Crunchyroll has acquired North American and select EMEA and Latin America theatrical rights to the highly anticipated feature anime spinoff Blue Lock The Movie – Episode Nagi. Crunchyroll and Sony have set a North American release for June 28, 2024 with the international dates still to be confirmed. The buzzy title is currently dated for April 19 in Japan.

Goodbye Earth.Today (April 9), the streamer revealed though its Netflix K-Content account on X (formerly Twitter) that Goodbye Earth will premiere April 26. The announcement was accompanied by 10 stills from the upcoming K-drama, which will star Ahn Eun-jin, Jeon Sung-woo and more.Notably, none of the stills feature actor Yoo Ah-in, who has been embroiled in controversy regarding his alleged drug use since early-2023.

Michaela Zee “Fallout” is stepping out of the vault earlier than originally planned. Prime Video has announced that “Fallout,” adapted from the retro-futuristic video game franchise of the same name, will premiere all eight episodes on April 10 at 6 p.m. PT.
