If you need to catch a bus, tram or train on New Year's Day you may run into some issues.
The start of the New Year will see some disruptions for all forms of public transport which could result in longer waiting times or outright cancellations for some services.
However, while some services will start at different times, some others will remain unchanged. Therefore it's important to plan any journey you have on New Year's Day well in advance.
Here's a breakdown of how Greater Manchester's services will be affected by the New Year.
Metrolink services will be running normally with roughly 15 minutes in between each service across the whole network. The first trams will begin operating from 7am and the last one operating at midnight.
From January 2, Metrolink will be operating with a new timetable so make sure to check if your commute is affected by any changes.
Services will be very limited on January 1. The following buses will be in operation.
Stagecoach: 42, 43, 86, 101, 192, 201, 203, 219 and 250.
Bee Network: 8 Bolton, 10 Wigan, 10 Manchester, 20, 22, 36, 37, 126, 132, 163, 362, 471, 501, 534, 575, 582, V1, V2.
