Anya Taylor-Joy is opening up about how she didn’t know anything about chess before starring as a chess prodigy on the hit Netflix series The Queen’s Gambit.
The 24-year-old actress talked about her lack of chess knowledge during an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which will air on Friday (December 4).
“I knew that there was a board and that there were pieces, but that was pretty much it,” Anya told Ellen about her knowledge of chess prior to playing Beth Harmon.
