It's official, Anya Taylor-Joy will play the younger Furiosa in the Mad Max world! The actress is best known for her role in M Night Shyamalan’s psychological thriller The Split and Glass. Now, it has been confirmed that she will be headlining the Mad Max spinoff.
Charlize Theron's character, Furiosa, ET can confirm.The standalone follow-up, fittingly titled, will be an origin story for the character, which means Theron will not actually be reprising the role. Instead, Anya Taylor-Joy will don Furiosa's buzz cut and prosthetic arm (if that's how she first appears in the prequel, that is).Warner Bros.
