Hull City boss Shota Arveladze has revealed that he was due to speak with Manchester United over the progression of defender Di’Shon Bernard over the weekend.
The 21-year-old loanee was left out of Hull’s final day Championship draw with Nottingham Forest after being benched for a large portion of the second half of the campaign. The centre-half had been frequently used by former Tigers boss Grant McCann during the first part of the season.
But he has not found favour under Arveladze, who arrived in January amidst the club’s financial takeover. When he did play, Bernard was often shoved in at right-back - all of which means it is unlikely that Hull will make another move for the youngster.
