Angela Bassett Joins Netflix’s Millie Bobby Brown Fantasy Feature ‘Damsel’

The full Tribeca Film Festival lineup of 109 feature films from 40 countries and 88 world premieres for the 2022 event that takes place June 9-18 has been announced. It’ll be interesting to see if some of the films at the festival will end up being popular breakouts, land major studio/streamer distribution, or eventually move on to get recognized during awards season.

The novel was a finalist for the National Book Award.USC’s School of Cinematic Arts is partnering with the Gary Cooper estate for the 70th anniversary of Oscar-nominated Western “High Noon.” On Sunday, April 24, events will include a special screening and panel, book signing and opening of the Gary Cooper Exhibition.

Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has opened up further about the sexualisation of women in Hollywood on The Guilty Feminist podcast. The actor, who turned 18 in February, spoke out about her experiences growing up under the public eye, after being cast as Eleven in the hit Netflix show at the age of 12. In the episode she said: "I deal with the same things any 18-year-old is dealing with, navigating being an adult and having relationships and friendships, and it's all of those things.
