Sir Keir Starmer insisted he is 'very focused on the north' as he visited the Kellogg's factory in Trafford.
During a tour of one of the region's biggest food manufacturing sites, the Labour Party leader said it was 'very important' for him to talk to people in Greater Manchester and the north west.
It comes as he made a commitment to overturn the 'chaos' surrounding issues of shortages on supplies, fuel and lorry drivers - which Sir Keir said had left businesses to 'pick up the pieces'.
