Amy Winehouse’s ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil has been spotted for the first time since filming began for the upcoming biopic about the late singer’s life. Besides the odd paparazzi shot while out and about in London, Blake, 40, is rarely seen in the public eye, which is quite the departure from when he was with Amy, and the couple were frequently seen in the tabloids. This week, the former video production assistant was spotted running errands in Leeds as he sported a Champion-branded puffer jacket, blue jeans and a Hundreds Los Angeles baseball cap.
Blake seemed in high spirits as he was photographed carrying recent purchases as he attempted to unwrap his headphones. Blake's appearance comes as the much talked-about Amy Winehouse biopic is finally in the works. Entitled Back to Black, the film, which has the “full support” of Amy’s family, will look into the late vocalist’s life, covering her rise to stardom, iconic music, love life, and her tragically early death.
Marisa Abela, who previously starred in 2022’s Rogue Agent, is playing Amy, while Skins actor Jack O'Connell is playing Blake. Amy and Blake met back in 2005 at a pub in London, when Blake working as a flyer person for a local nightclub, Trash. The couple famously had one another’s names tattooed on them, with Blake’s name across Amy’s chest as he got her name behind his ear. “Amy changed overnight after she met Blake.
