Amazon MGM Studios Names Spyglass’s Peter Oillataguerre Head of Feature Film Production

Peter Oillataguerre has been appointed to the new role of Head of Feature Film Production at Amazon MGM Studios, studio head Jennifer Salke announced to staffers via email on Friday.
Oillataguerre joins from Spyglass Media Group, where he served for three and a half years as President of Production, and in his new role will oversee all aspects of the feature production cycle for Amazon MGM Studios film group. He starts this coming Monday, September 18 and will report to Head of Global Business Operations Dan Scharf, while working closely with Courtenay Valenti, Head of Film, Streaming and Theatrical, and the film teams.
Boasting 20 years of industry experience, Oillataguerre prior to Spyglass held roles at Universal, and even MGM Studios, working at the latter on everything from the Creed franchise to the James Bond series.
Amazon closed its $8.5B acquisition of the MGM movie studio last March, in the last year pivoting back toward an embrace of theatrical, and bringing Amazon Studios and MGM together under one label, as far as theatrical distribution, around the same time.
