Amanda Holden recently joined Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch as a guest star on their podcast, The Therapy Crouch, and has now revealed that the appearance could have been 'career-ending' if not edited by the couple's team.
Taking to the stage to present the 2024 Variety Showbusiness Awards in London on Sunday evening, Amanda dubbed Abbey and Peter, who were in the audience, her 'drinking partners' and 'new neighbours'. "I did the podcast with Alan Carr and I am really grateful to Abbey and Peter's family for the editing that went into the final cut, because without it that would have been career ending," laughed Amanda.
Amanda and Alan appeared on the podcast in January, and left listeners in stitches with their revelations. However, it seems there were many more that didn't make the final cut.
Host Amanda looked stunning for the awards ceremony, which raised money for Variety Club, the children's charity and marked 75 years of the charity, which provides support to make a difference to disabled and disadvantaged youngsters. Arriving in a white gown with a chest cut-out and glimmering silver embellishing, Amanda - who has just returned from a sunny getaway - then swiftly changed into a plunging piece with a black bodice and white skirt to present the show.
Abbey and Peter were honoured at the ceremony with an award for their outstanding contribution to podcasting and sport, only 15 months after beginning the podcast - where they give listeners advice on issues. Speaking with OK! on the night, Abbey shared her joy at the podcast's success, explaining: "We're just so happy it makes people smile and can help others, that's what we wanted to do.
The podcast definitely brings me and Pete closer, we get to air it all out on
