A man 'stabbed to death' on a cul-de-sac in Tameside has been named as a murder investigation continues. Rees Howarth, thought to be 28, died following the attack in Hyde on Sunday afternoon.
Today (Tuesday) police said two women - aged 19 and 27 - had been arrested on suspicion of murder after officers were called to reports of a 'domestic disturbance'. The women remain in custody for questioning.

On Tuesday morning, two forensic tents had been erected in a front garden and on the pavement outside and crime scene investigators could be seen taking photographs inside a terraced house on Thorsby Avenue.
Much of the small cul-de-sac remained cordoned off. One neighbour said she was in the back garden when she heard police arrive on the street at about 3pm on Sunday.
She said: "The policeman jumped out of the car and shouted 'CPR' then ran into the house. Within two seconds there were more police and an ambulance here. The police were brilliant.
"They didn't know what they were running into, but they just ran straight in. I used to see him [the victim] every day walking an Alsatian puppy up and down the street.
"All those lives that have been ruined by this. It's so sad."
A person living nearby said the victim 'was stabbed in the garden in front of everyone enjoying their Sunday afternoon', although that account was disputed by others who said the street was empty at the time.
Another neighbour said a woman was seen arriving at the house in a taxi shortly before the attack. They added: "I walked past the forensic tent and I could see there was blood all over the pavement. It's crazy. No-one saw anything."
