One Aldi shopper has shared a shopping hack that can help slow down the cashier to give you time to pack your bags at the till - but some have slammed it as "inconsiderate".
Let's face it, there are few things in life that are as fast as an Aldi cashier who scans your items quicker than you pack them back into the trolley, let alone into the carrier bags.
And while it has become an unspoken truth that you just pack your items over at the benches during a trip to the budget supermarket, many shoppers have tried to come up with solutions to beat the system.
Which is exactly why one shopper has jokingly suggested that we should be leaving massive gaps in between our groceries when we pop it on the conveyor belt to be scanned.
The shopping tip was shared to the Aldi UK Shoppers Facebook page in a post that was captioned: "A little tip for all your Aldi shoppers to give you time to pack."
And while there a few shoppers who said it was a "brilliant idea", others were a little more sceptical, with many even suggesting it was not considerate to the cashiers, or other shoppers behind them in the queue.
"Pack at the bench like everyone does. Put into your trolley, take it over to the bench provided. And pack. Why does everyone after you have to wait at the till, so you can pack your bags. Be more considerate, and help your other Aldians", commented one shopper.
"I don’t get why people insist on making a point of packing slowly and not at the designated areas provided for you to pack. Aldi have always made it very clear the reason they scan so fast is so they can make more sales per hour, therefore making more money ,which keeps their prices down for customers?!?? Also the staff are given a target of transactions they have to scan
