Thrill seekers are getting the chance to trail run, kayak and mountain bike their way through spectacular landscapes in Greater Manchester this summer.
The Questars Adventure Race Series is coming to Marple Bridge on the edge of the Peak District for the first time in June as part of the 2024 Adventure Race Series.
The two-day event will see participants run, bike and kayak through the wilds of the surrounding area using a map and compass to plan their route.

Racers have full control over how far they travel within the time limit and can take part on their own or in a team of up to four people. The objective is to reach as many checkpoints as possible.
Race directors and Marple residents, Kim and Joe Selby, are bringing the series to their hometown having competed in Adventure Races all over the world and held races across the UK.
Joe was part of the British team that completed Bear Grylls' World’s Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji, available to view on Amazon Prime, and finished as part of the top UK team at the Adventure Racing World Championships in South Africa last year.
Kim has raced in China, France, and Ecuador as well as more locally, in Scotland, last year.
