Carpool Karaoke, James Corden appeared to address backlash he has received over the course of the series.Taking place on Monday (April 24), the British comedian, actor and television host shared the final episode of his popular segment Carpool Karaoke, which featured Adele driving him around as they sang along to a number of her songs.Held just days before he brought The Late Late Show to an end (April 27), the conversion took a more emotional turn than usual, and saw both Adele and Corden tearfully discuss recent hardships they have faced.In the segment, Adele recalled what had inspired her song ‘I Drink Wine’ — stating that it was written following a vacation with Corden in January 2020, shortly after her split from husband Simon Koncheki.“It was the first year that I felt like I had to hold myself accountable for just being an adult. When the year before that, I had left Simon and stuff like that,” she explained.

James Corden's final Carpool Karaoke had fans sobbing as he and singer Adele became emotional as they reminisced on their friendship. The pair discussed everything from life in LA to Adele's songwriting inspiration during the sing-along session, ahead of Corden’s last episode of The Late Late Show.

And it was the first year that I felt like I had to hold myself accountable for being an adult whereas the year before that, I had just left Simon and stuff like that,» she recalls.

Adele left The Late Late Show host James Corden rather scared after almost crashing their car during his final Carpool Karaoke.The Rumour Has It singer, 34, gave James, 44, a rude awakening with some cymbals, as she announced she would be driving him to work for his last week on the show. A video clip of the duo's drive to work, in which they took part in the show's Carpool Karaoke, began with Adele telling James that she's "actually not a brilliant driver." She then added that she can't sing without closing her eyes, which, considering they were about to start karaoke could have been cause for concern.
