Get ready MCU fans — “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” is finally coming to Disney+. The third installment of James Gunn’s “Guardians” trilogy will be available for streaming on August 2 for all Disney+ subscribers, which comes three months after the film first hit theaters. Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan and Pom Klementieff star in the film, which picks up with Peter Quill (Pratt) rallying the gang for a mission to save Rocket’s (Bradley Cooper) life. The film also features Vin Diesel as Groot along with Sean Gunn as Kraglin, Chukwudi Iwuji as the High Evolutionary, Will Poulter as Adam Warlock and Maria Bakalova as Cosmo.

Talk about respecting a theatrical window: Disney has set a Disney+ global premiere date for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 of Aug. 2, that’s 90 days after the pic’s theatrical release of May 5.

The spinoff series starring Norman Reedus will officially debut on Sept. 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on the linear network and its streaming counterpart. The series tracks his journey across a broken but resilient France as he hopes to find a way back home. Ashcroft will direct the “Old Haunts” adaptation from a script by in-demand scribe Aaron Rabin, who is hot off of the newly launched Marvel series, “Secret Invasion.” Zach Studin, president of AWA Studios, will produce the movie. Since the world premiere of “Coming Home In The Dark” at Sundance, where the psychological thriller made a stir, Ashcroft has become an in-demand filmmaker, lining up projects with AGBO, Legendary, and Netflix.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter Dan Harmon’s new animated series “Krapopolis” has set its long-awaited premiere date at Fox. The series will debut with a special two-episode preview on Sunday, Sept. 24 immediately following the NFL doubleheader that night. Fox has not announced its full fall schedule at the time of this publishing, but the network says that “Krapopolis” will make its regular timeslot premiere on Sunday, Oct. 1 at 8:30 pm ET/PT as part of the network’s “Animation Domination” block. “The Simpsons” will lead into the new show at 8 pm, followed by “Bob’s Burgers” at 9 pm and “Family Guy” at 9:30 pm.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie has gotten its Peacock premiere date following a hugely successful run in theaters, the streamer announced on Thursday. The film from Universal and Illumination begins streaming exclusively on the platform on August 3rd, and will be joined there by behind-the-scenes cast interviews, as well as an immersive “Field Guide” expanding the film through bonus features, and a lyric video for a song sung by Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy).
