A sequel to Hocus Pocus is officially in the works

The Coronavirus outbreak has left people to resort to self-isolation. Given the lockdown in numerous cities and countries, Hollywood stars choose to work out at home. This has led to the viral Instagram push-up challenge. Earlier this week, Justin Bieber was seen taking part in the challenge. Now, Spider-Man: Far From Home actor Tom Holland was seen participating in the challenge. The actor took to his Instagram Stories and recorded a video of performing the online task at his home.

It truly is a glorious morning...because there's a Hocus Pocus sequel update.  It seems dreams of a follow-up to the 1993 cult classic is becoming less and less a bunch of hocus pocus and more of the real deal.

Adam Shankman has added another Disney sequel to his slate after signing on to direct the Hocus Pocus follow-up.

Adam Shankman, the director behind the likes of What Men Want and Rock of Ages is set to direct Hocus Pocus 2 over at Disney. The news comes from Variety who says that sources have told them that the filmmaker has signed for the sequel, which will land on the Mouse House’s streaming service Disney+.

“Hocus Pocus” is officially conjuring up a sequel.

Update 3/4/20: Get your black-flame candles ready to light because Disney+'s Hocus Pocus sequel is ready to bring this story back to life. Director Adam Shankman (Hairspray, Rock of Ages, and the upcoming Enchanted sequel) has been tapped to direct Hocus Pocus 2 for the streaming service, TV Guide has learned.
