Danni Menzies has been left stranded in Spain amid the ongoing air traffic control chaos across UK airports.
The former A Place In The Sun presenter is one of millions of people stuck across the world after the UK-wide air traffic control system was hit with a technical issue on Tuesday. The Scots presenter had been enjoying a holiday with pals in Mallorca and was due to fly home yesterday (Monday).
Danni took to social media to rant about the situation, as she wrote on Twitter: "Flight cancelled today! After sitting on a plane for 5hrs…. Airport carnage in Mallorca. Any idea on how I can get home asap with my heavily pregnant friend before Thursday as our best friend is getting married Friday!!! HELP! @British_Airways @Iberia."
She then joked: “Anyone with a super yacht in Palma fancy giving us a lift across the pond? @British_Airways are paying….”
Danni also shared her predicament with fans on Instagram, sharing a selfie with her friends as they disembarked the plane. She captioned it: "Got on the plane for a four hour chill.... & then got off again..."
She then posted a group snap at dinner with the caption: “And now we’re stranded for the foreseeable.” Danni later added that she was offered a flight in one week's time to get back to London.
In her last update, Danni pleaded with the airline to try and get her pregnant friend back to the UK. She tweeted: "Good job I’m a regular at under packing and so very good at washing my pants in the sink. Can’t say I’ve ever delivered a baby though. Can you at least get my pregnant pal home @British_Airways."
Danni is one of thousands of holidaymakers facing disruptions to her travel plans amid the flight chaos which shows no signs of being calming down soon. Despite the issue now
