92nd Academy Awards Telecast: TV Review

Even though Billie Eilish’s stirring performance at the 2020 Academy Awards earlier this month, was highly praised by her fans, the singer does not think she did a good job. Billie performed a moving rendition of 1965 Beatles classic, Yesterday, for the ceremony In Memoriam segment which paid tribute to various artists who lost their lives in the past year, including NBA superstar Kobe Bryant.

While Oscars 2020 featured a number of eyebrow raising and jaw-dropping moments, the 92nd Academy Awards ended up hitting an all-time low in the rating department. The Academy made history this year by giving away four of its most prestigious awards to a non-English-language film Parasite.

Brad Pitt received his first Oscar as an actor at the 92nd Academy Award. The Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor was nominated for the Best Actor in Supporting Role at the Oscars 2020 and beat Al Pacino, Tom Hanks, Joe Pesci and Anthony Hopkins for the trophy.

The U.S. television audience for the 2020 Oscars fell to an all-time low for a ceremony that brought big wins for South Korean satire Parasite but was criticized by reviewers as long and haphazard.

Oscars 2020 did not recognise actor Luke Perry in its In Memoriam tribute which included various artists who passed away over the last year, leaving a treasure of legacy behind them. Among those honoured in the segment was NBA superstar Kobe Bryant, who died in a tragic helicopter crash in January alongside his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna.

The Oscars 2020 made a whole lot of noise in India on Monday morning as the best in the entertainment business were awarded. From Hollywood's A-listers to filmmakers and talent from all over, the Oscars this year did not disappoint despite majorly snubbing women directors.

Wow! Seconds ago, the Oscar for Best Picture was handed out, and with that, history was made, as the 92nd Academy Awards came to a close in spectacular fashion! Moments before that, Bong Joon Ho pulled off a Best Director shocker, too, making it quite the evening for Parasite.

The moment is extra special because the actor rarely brings a date to award ceremonies.

It was raining in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon, but that didn't stop the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences from hosting its annual parade of A-listers lining up for a chance at those shiny Oscar statuettes.

The Oscars are almost upon us, but there's still some time to study up on the year's best films and performances before Hollywood's biggest night begins.
