Tuesday's instalment of 24 Hours In Police Custody left viewers complaining after showing graphic CCTV footage of of a horrific double murder.
The episode covered a shocking double murder that occurred on 13 November 2022, when Adam Fanelli, 39, and Patrick Howard, 27, brutally killed following a row at a pub baby shower. Killers Nicholas Papworth and Anthony Bennison stabbed and ran over their victims. Adam Fanelli died from a fatal stab wound, while Patrick Howard was stabbed and then hit by a car driven Papworth.
He was then dragged down the road after becoming trapped beneath the vehicle. Both men were declared dead at the scene. A third man, Mason Jordan, was left seriously injured after being stabbed eight times, but was able to survive the horrific ordeal.
CCTV footage of the horrific attack was shown by Channel 4 during 24 Hours In Police Custody, with viewers complaining that this wasn't necessary.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one wrote: "I don’t think they should be showing the CCTV footage of people being horrifically run over and murdered again and again and again. Once was bad enough. #24hoursinpolicecustody." "Omg this CCTV ring camera stuff is horrific.
