‘Ziwe’ Reveals Season 2 Trailer and Guest Lineup Including Chet Hanks, Deux Moi and Charlamagne Tha God

Fox’s upcoming anthology series “Accused” is rounding out its cast. Rhea Perlman, Baron Vaughn, Mary Lynn Rajskub, and Sean Kleier will guest star in the episode led by Whitney Cummings.The episode follows Cummings as Brenda Kramer, an acerbic stand-up comic who is forced to confront public opinion and courtroom biases after she reports being sexually assaulted.

Although the show will be missing the month’s famed “Star Wars” celebration day of May 5th, the grand return of one of the franchise’s most beloved characters is almost here. Directed by Deborah Chow of “The Mandalorian,” written by Joby Harold of “Army of the Dead,” with cinematography from frequent Park Chan-wook collaborator Chung Chung-hoon, and music from Natalie Holt and John Williams, the second trailer for “Obi-Wan Kenobi” has arrived for its eagerly-anticipating fans.

The Cannes Film Festival has set its lineup for this year’s Cannes Classics program, which shines a spotlight on restorations of classic movies and features contemporary documentaries about film. Kicking off the sidebar is Jean Eustache’s controversial film The Mother and the Whore, the 1973 Cannes Grand Prize winner which incited riots at the time. Also included in the program are films by Vittorio de Sica (Sciuscià), Satyajit Ray (The Adversary), Orson Welles (The Trial) and Martin Scorsese (The Last Waltz), as well as a new 4K master of Singin’ in the Rain to mark the movie’s 70th anniversary.

Ziwe is back with her hilarious and provocative self-titled, late-night talk show, which previously saw her interview the likes of Fran Lebowitz, Eboni K.

The full Tribeca Film Festival lineup of 109 feature films from 40 countries and 88 world premieres for the 2022 event that takes place June 9-18 has been announced. It’ll be interesting to see if some of the films at the festival will end up being popular breakouts, land major studio/streamer distribution, or eventually move on to get recognized during awards season.

You should know the gist of “Love, Death & Robots” an adult animated anthology horror streaming television series on Netflix. The story goes something like this: for years, David Fincher wanted to remake the adult animated anthology movie “Heavy Metal,” based on the adult-oriented sci-fi fantasy magazine, and he wanted Tim Miller, a VFX artist who went on to direct his own films like “Deadpool” and “Terminator: Dark Fate” to work on it (Miller and Fincher go way back and he designed the title sequences of “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo”).

The line-up for the 54th Directors’ Fortnight selection was announced this morning by General Delegate Paolo Moretti and his selection committee. On top of the previously announced opening night film, Pietro Marcello‘s “Scarlet,” he being the director of the well-regarded “Martin Eden” festival film, highlights from the films announced include Alex Garland‘s much-anticipated psychological horror “Men,” starring Jessie Buckley, a woman who retreats to the English countryside following the death of her husband.

The Showtime late-night variety series “Ziwe” returns for its second season to streaming and on-demand April 29, two days before its on-air debut Sunday, May 1 at 11 p.m., the cabler said Thursday.Showtime also shared a first-look at the upcoming season, in which star and executive producer Ziwe conducts more of her signature, provocative interviews with stars including Charlamagne Tha God, Chet Hanks, Emily Ratajkowski, Ilana Glazer, Hannibal Buress, Nicole Byer, Mia Kalifa, Adam Pally and Deux Moi, some of whom are not going to say they’re sorry on the apology cam. Jane Krakowski and Luann de Lesseps will also make special appearances this season.New episodes drop every Friday via streaming and on-demand platforms before appearing on air Sunday night.
