EXCLUSIVE: Tell Them You Love Me explores the story of a controversial affair between Anna Stubblefield, a white university professor, and Derrick Johnson, a non-verbal Black man with cerebral palsy. Stubblefield claimed she and Johnson had fallen in love, but when his family found out about their intimate relationship, she was arrested, and in 2015 stood trial facing charges of aggravated sexual assault.

Sunny Day Real Estate have returned with their first new single in 10 years, ‘Novum Vetus’, and announced a run of shows to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their seminal album ‘Diary’.The emo legends, who announced their reunion in 2022, had been teasing the song earlier this week by sharing a minute-long snippet to Instagram. The sound soundtracks a video of an artist drawing the phrase “novum vetus”, (Latin for “everything old is new again”) and then sketching out a boat at sea, over which frontman Jeremy Enigk was heard singing: “The day we died inside, the world was suffering / 10,000 words collide but no one said a thing / the day we died inside the walls come tumbling down.”Although ‘Novum Vetus’ is only just seeing the light of day, it was first conceived when Sunny Day Real Estate were recording 1998’s ‘How It Feels to Be Something On’.

Ice Spice has dropped her brand new song ‘Think U The Sh*t (Fart)’.The rapper has unveiled the full song as her first release of 2024, and sees the rapper taunting: “Think you the shit, bitch? / You not even the fart”. The song is an extended cut of a snippet that previously went viral on TikTok, with over 300,000 videos associated with the sound.Earlier this month, the New Yorker was spotted filming a video for ‘Think U The Sh*t’ in South Beach, Florida.

Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes have shared their reflective new single ‘Self Love’ from their upcoming LP.The track is the third single from ‘Dark Rainbow’, the band’s fifth album which is set for release on January 26 via International Death Cult. However it has now been revealed that Millie will be replaced as the Doctor's sidekick by actress Varada Seethu in Ncuti's second series in the leading role.The decision by showrunner Russell T Davies to write out Millie, who plays orphan Ruby Sunday, was made last year after filming on her first run ended.

Bleachers have released their new single ‘Tiny Moves’, backed by a music video directed by Jack Antonoff’s wife, Margaret Qualley.The clip, co-directed by Qualley and Alex Lockett, depicts Qualley stopping in front of a car parked by the Hudson River at dawn before launching into a dance sequence which she also choreographed. Mumford & Sons have opened up about their collaboration with Pharrell on new single ‘Good People’ – their first new music in five years.The British band returned with the single yesterday (January 16), which was produced by Pharrell and features his backing vocals.The artists also brought in the vocals of a six-piece vocal choir from the USA and Canada, hailing from Native American Tribes within the Northern Great Plains.In a new interview with The Zane Lowe Show on Apple Music, Marcus Mumford recalled meeting Pharrell almost 10 years ago on the festival circuit, sharing that they “instantly got on”.“There was a mutual kind of respect and admiration straight away,” he added.”And we’ve always talked about making music together. We’ve always talked about just getting in the studio and seeing what happened.”The band were performing at Pharrell’s festival Something in the Water in Virginia Beach last year when they committed to getting in the studio.“And I said to him, man, we’ve got to do that thing we’ve always talked about doing and get in the studio together,” Mumford said.
