Former Manchester United youngster Nick Powell has revealed Sir Alex Ferguson once apologised to him after a dressing down at Carrington.

And while he might not have made the desired impact, Powell said in an interview with Sport Bible a run-in with Ferguson ultimately led to the legendary manager apologising to him.
"I'd just scored against Wigan and I got bullied into doing an MUTV interview after the game," Powell said. "A big thing of mine was never doing interviews because one, I hadn't made it, and two, I was too shy in front of the cameras.
"I’ll take pictures all day. I don't mind. You just stand there and smile. But a camera, especially if it's live, then whatever you say is there forever. I think that’s the biggest thing that scared me most.
"The next day, I walked past Sir Alex going for breakfast. I'm smiling. I'm just buzzing that I scored. But he then turns around and goes: 'What the f*** are you doing an interview for?'
