The stars are stepping out for the 2022 Global Citizen Festival!
The 10th edition of the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park — which first served as a fall music celebration on the Great Lawn in 2012 — began with the Jonas Brothers on Saturday night. It was fitting that those Jersey boys would kick off this year’s event — on the most perfect of early fall days, with not a cloud in the sky over Central Park. The Global Citizen Festival has come to signify not only the end of summer and the beginning of fall — but a renewal of all the ways that music can lift up our spirits and souls even in the most trying of times, whether you were chanting “Jonas!” or rocking a Metallica t-shirt.And the Jonas Brothers were the perfect way to start the festivities, which also just so happened to be hosted by Pryianka Chopra Jonas — the wife and baby mama of the youngest JoBro, Nick.Having such a major Indian star as Chopra Jonas host the event reminded all the New Yorkers on the Great Lawn that this was bigger than us — and this year’s festival had more of an international presence than ever before.Spanish sensation Rosalia, Italian glam rockers Maneskin and African queen Angelique Kidjo all took part.
Mariah Carey says most people "let you down". The 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' hitmaker - who has teamed up with Chopard to launch two butterfly-themed jewellery collections - admitted while there are "exceptions" in life, she thinks diamonds really are a girl's best friend. She told PEOPLE magazine: "I hate to say it, but for the most part, people let you down.
“Dreamlover,” “Fantasy” and “Honey” — the octave-leaping singer recorded a secret alt-rock album. Now, Carey plans to release the 1995 LP, which had been buried by her label. But Mimi has unearthed her version of “Someone’s Ugly Daughter,” which originally featured her lead vocals before they were replaced by her friend Clarissa Dane in the band Chick. “We actually have it,” Carey revealed in a Rolling Stone podcast interview with Brian Hiatt.
Mariah Carey has managed to track down an original version of Someone’s Ugly Daughter, the unreleased alt-rock album she recorded in 1995 as Chick, and she’s making an effort to finally let the world hear it. The singer discussed the album in a new episode of the Rolling Stone Music Now podcast, as Pitchfork points out. The discussion of the project comes at the 53:50 mark of the interview.
Mariah Carey is bringing the drama! Twenty-five years after the songstress dropped the theatrical music video for her song, «Honey,» she enlisted some special guests to recreate an iconic scene for TikTok.In a video shared over the weekend, Carey sits in a makeup chair pretending to be held captive by kidnappers. The star lip-syncs her character's infamous pleas in Spanish as star Millie Bobby Brown and her boyfriend, Jake Bongiovi, play the part of the buffoonish mobsters that try to interrogate her. Carey's boyfriend, Bryan Tanaka, and her 11-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe — whom she shares with ex-husband Nick Cannon — also play villains in the video."'Go eat a buffet,'" Carey captioned the TikTok post, quoting a famous line from the music video.«Honey» was the lead single off Carey's sixth studio album, , which was released on Sept.

Mariah Carey and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex bonded over being biracial and the many "misconceptions" about them. The 'We Belong Together' hitmaker, 53, was the latest guest on the 41-year-old royal's 'Archetypes' podcast - which aired days before the passing on Queen Elizabeth on September 8 - and she has shared how she and the former 'Suits' actress had a lot in common and she "enjoyed" getting Meghan's "take on things". Abby De La Rosa won’t stand for anyone judging her while she’s in an “open” relationship with Nick Cannon!
A.D. Amorosi One might think that on the 25th anniversary of her seminal 1997 album “Butterfly” and the release of her new butterfly-themed Chopard jewelry collab with Caroline Scheufele this week, Mariah Carey would be all about butterflies, the beauty of winged flight and transformational-metamorphosis metaphors. Mariah Carey is not corny like that. “You know, I didn’t have a thing with butterflies when I was a kid,” she says during a phone interview. “I wasn’t one of those little girls who had a fascination with butterflies, even though I knew children who did. It is just something that happened. When I made that album, I was leaving a point in my life that was extremely stifling and I had to go through an actual metamorphosis to become a grown woman who was strong enough to get out of that situation. It was me breaking through, to become free enough to fly.”
Abby De La Rosa has shared details about her “polyamorous relationship” with Nick Cannon in a new interview. While appearing on Tuesday’s episode of the Lovers and Friends with Shan Boodram podcast, Abby opened up expecting another baby with the TV personality, due in October, while Brittany Bell is also pregnant with his child. Abby and Nick already share Zion and Zillion, 15 months, while he has son Golden, five, and daughter Powerful Queen, 20 months, with Brittany.
