United are still in the FA Cup, too, and while they are five points behind table-topping Arsenal, they have not given up hope in the Premier League title race. However, should the Gunners win their game in hand it would put United eight points adrift with 14 matches to bridge that gap.
During his interview with MUFC media, Weghorst said: "It would be a big boost [to beat Barcelona]. But like I said, we are in a good place with real momentum.
"We are still active in these competitions. That's definitely something we want to keep [going] and, of course, the [Carabao Cup] final is coming, but we want to win four trophies."
On the impending showdown with Barcelona on Thursday night, Weghorst added: "It's about winning and it's about trophies, these are the two biggest clubs in the world. It's a game that will be close because both teams have a lot of qualities and it will depend on the performance.
