A week and a half ago, actress Gal Gadot posted an Instagram video of her and some famous friends earnestly singing a cover of “Imagine” – and it promptly got destroyed by the Internet. While intended to uplift fans during the coronavirus crisis, most viewers just saw a bunch of tone-deaf wealthy stars (literally and figuratively) with no idea of what it’s like to be truly struggling right now.

Wonder Woman 1984 has become the latest film to have its release date postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Coronavirus hasn't spared Wonder Woman either. The DC superhero franchise was all set to drop the second movie, Wonder Woman 84, in June. However, in lieu of the Covid-19 outbreak around the world, Warner Bros has decided to push back the Gal Gadot starrer to August 2020. This is the second time the movie is being pushed. The Patty Jenkins directorial was supposed to release on December 13, 2019. But it was moved to November 1, 2019. Until recently, WW84 was set to drop on June 5, 2020.

As movie theaters shutter amid the current pandemic, some studios are opting to make your home into a multiplex in the time of coronavirus, pivoting to a streaming release or early arrival on VOD for certain titles. But those are largely movies that had the unlucky timing of dropping right before social distancing descended upon the nation.

Warner Bros. is postponing Diana Prince’s return to the big screen. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, “Wonder Woman 1984” will now hit theaters on Aug. 14 instead of June 5.

For the most part, the celebrity reactions to the coronavirus crisis have been better than expected. Kylie Jenner has urged her millions of fans to stay home, while Miley Cyrus has launched an Instagram Live series to remain positive.
