A pregnant woman who had to be put into a coma as she battled coronavirus had to learn to walk, talk and eat again - and couldn't even remember giving birth.
Erem Ali, 29, was 31 weeks pregnant when she admitted herself to Royal County hospital due to struggling to breathe - she was also unable to feel her baby moving, suspecting she had coronavirus.
Doctors quickly confirmed she had Covid-19 and after her condition worsened, she was put into an induced coma while her baby had to be born five weeks early.

The baby Zorayz Ali, now eight months old, was delivered via an emergency c-section on February 2, 2021 - she weighed 4lbs and 2oz shortly before Erem, was put into a coma.
Erem has reported that she has no memory of the c-section and didn't meet the baby when she was born.
She remained in the coma for three weeks but worke up on February 22 - she still had difficulty breathing, suffering from blood clots and bowel obstruction.
Due to her Covid-19 infection, she was unable to meet her baby boy, who was kept in a different hospital, for five weeks.
After waking up from the coma, Erem had to learn to walk, talk and eat again - but she made a recovery and was discharged in March 2021.
Erem, a stay-at-home mum, from Surrey, said: “When I came round and they told me I had the baby I was so confused.
“I didn’t have any memory of the c-section or giving birth. It was horrific.
“I was still struggling to breathe, and I wasn’t allowed to see my baby.
“Seeing him for the first time after over a month was so relieving, but I feel sad that I missed out on the first part of his life.
