A woman claims to have spotted her late husband who passed away nine years ago in a recent online video of diners eating at a local Indian restaurant, leaving social media users gobsmacked. The promotional video was uploaded by Spice Cottage's Facebook page but the West Sussex eatery confirmed the footage was only taken last week.
The clip showed tables packed with diners indulging in their favourite dishes but one comment has shocked the internet after a woman claims to have spotted her dead husband and his son among the diners. The alleged widow, Lucy Watson, left a message asking when the video was filmed as she explained her husband had passed away in 2014, the Mirror reports.
The video was uploaded on January 16 along with the caption: "New year, new mood! For the last few weeks, we've been working hard to make our dining experience even more memorable.
"Join us for a perfect blend of exquisite flavours, with classical and unique dishes inspired by ancient family recipes."
Among the commenters was Lucy Watson who questioned: "How old is the footage? My late husband and his son are on the first shot and he died in 2014??"
While the bizarre claim could have been explained if the footage had been old, the owners of the establishment insisted the video had only been filmed earlier in the month.
In response to Lucy, they wrote: "Hi Lucy Watson, sorry to hear this. This footage was recorded last week."
The woman has not yet responded to the Facebook post with any further updates but her original comment has left social media users desperate to find out more.
One person wrote: "I need to know what's going on, ASAP."
Someone else commented: "We need closure on this!" A third asked: "Can we have an update? I'm invested now."
