One TikTok user has gone viral after ranting about the price she paid for two pairs of trousers in Primark as many agree the cost of living crisis has 'gone too far'.
Primark is a high street staple store known for its cheap clothing and alternative dupes making it the ideal place to shop for bargains. As more people are looking to cost cut this winter, shoppers will be turning to budget friendly shops to get what they need, reports the Mirror.
However, one shopper Lily - known as @lileviex on TikTok - shared a video of her baffled reaction after finding out the price of two pairs of trousers in the shop. Prices have increased almost everywhere as a result of the cost of living crisis, including Primark, as Lily exclaimed her disbelief after paying nearly £50 for two pairs of parachute trousers in black and cream.
In the clip, she said: "I'm sorry since when did Primark become so expensive? Kid you not, I walk in and see these trousers right, parachute pants, Urban Outfitters who?"
Speaking to the camera, Lily admits she didn't check the price tag before getting to the till, as she didn't expect the trousers to retail for such a high price. However, she soon got a shock when the cashier asked for almost £50.
She continued by saying: "Tell me why when I get to the till he says £44 please. I'm pretty sure back in 2015 those would have been about a fiver each. This cost of living crisis man, it is just going too far."
Many shoppers were quick to agree that the cost of living crisis is impacting prices everywhere, as even 'cheap' shops have upped their prices recently in attempt to pad the blow.
One person commented: "I know right, they are getting so cheeky." Another agreed and noted: "Even their pyjamas have gone up to £20."

(whether we can actually do it well ourselves is another thing) and how artists are able to create envious bone structure—even if you weren’t born with it—thanks to a sprinkle of makeup trickery.Well, according to we’ve been doing it all wrong because there’s a new hack in town and it’s called ‘model cheekbones’—and no, you probably haven’t painted your face like this before. It was TikToker @sarahssuperspa who showed her followers this genius new hack first. This content can also be viewed on the site it from.In the video she says: "So the way that we’re taught, which is kind of ineffective is to place your contour really high up and blend that either upwards on in place, clean that up with concealer and then bake underneath.” The beauty influencer goes on: “But the way we should actually maybe be doing it is placing the contour under the cheekbone, then placing it right here at the side of the jaw, pat the cheekbone bit into place and then downwards so it creates a shadow underneath the cheekbone, blend this area outwards so that it creates a shadow in the buccal fat area, then blend the jaw area inwards so that it creates a shadow making it look like a V-shaped jawline.”“Now add some highlighter or concealer above where you place your contour to make the cheekbone area pop and if you want you can add some powder to lighten the area further… here’s the comparison between the two. Let me know what you think.”The video, which has gathered over 700 comments, saw fans quickly hailing the hack.
