Honor Marks, 59, founder of a community group for middle-aged women, who is from Broadstairs in Kent but now living in the south of France, was dumped by her husband of 13 years in 2015 while on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Vietnam for her birthday.
After spending a year "reeling" from her break-up, she decided to download Tinder for some fun, but began to think men are "unable to communicate" and struggled with the cheesiness of online dating, and was shocked to discover men editing their "private area to make it look bigger".

So, after getting herself back out in the dating world, she began posting on her Instagram page, with tips for men on how to improve their dating profiles, such as using flattering photos, and not using photos of them posing with a fish or a flashy car.
Since then she has created a support group for other single midlifers on Facebook, where she encourages them to mingle and share dating tips along the way. Looking to the future, she is hoping to find her perfect match but also keep her girlfriends close.
