A woman has been charged with drink driving after a five-year-old was hit by a car in Salford.

Lisa Ward, 40, of Guildford Grove, Middleton, is due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, June 2.

Police were called by the Ambulance Service to a report of a collision between a car and a child on Lower Broughton Road, Salford, at around 6.20pm on Wednesday, May 12.
