Wisconsin election officials: Kanye off presidential ballot

A judge has barred Kanye West from appearing on the presidential ballot in Arizona, according to the Los Angeles Times.

“50 Cent” Jackson doesn’t think he can be canceled.The rapper and television producer, whose newest project, “Power Book II: Ghost” premieres on Starz Sept. 6, said during Variety‘s Entertainment Marketing Summit presented by Deloitte that he doesn’t care whether people love him or hate him — as long as they care.“I’m an entertainer, so to entertain is, I believe, to provoke emotion,” Jackson, 45, told Variety‘s Andrew Wallenstein.

Rapper Kanye West has sued Ohio’s election chief in an effort to be placed on the November presidential ballot after the Secretary of State deemed him unqualified as an independent candidate.

Wisconsin election officials decided Thursday to keep rapper Kanye West off the battleground state's presidential ballot in November because his campaign turned his nomination papers moments after the deadline. West announced in July he’s running for president on a ticket he calls the “Birthday Party.” West has since been gathering signatures to get on the ballot in several states.

Kanye West has been given a boost in his presidential bid after qualifying as a candidate in Utah.The rapper secured his place on the ballot after receiving the necessary 1,000 signatures required.That means fans will be able to vote for him, alongside Joe Biden and Donald Trump in November.Kanye has also qualified as a candidate in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Colorado.The validity of his candidacy in his native Illinois is still under investigation due to issues linked to signatures.
