Prince Harry and Prince William inherited a significant portion of their late mother's belongings following her tragic death in a car crash, but there is one item they will never receive. Princess Diana tragically lost her life in a fatal accident in Paris on 31 August 1997, as her driver Henri Paul attempted to evade the paparazzi.
Both Henri and Diana's boyfriend Dodi Fayed also perished in the incident.
Harry and William were bequeathed the majority of Diana's £13million fortune, along with much of her jewellery collection. However, the brothers will not inherit their mother's childhood home, Althorp Estate, which will instead pass to an actor.
The property, which has been part of the Spencer family since 1508, will be inherited by Harry and William's cousin Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp. Louis is the son of Diana's brother, Earl Charles Spencer, reports the Mirror.
Despite having three older sisters, Louis will be the sole inheritor of the estate due to the aristocracy's system of primogeniture, where titles are passed down to the eldest male child.
Althorp Estate, where Diana spent her childhood and was later laid to rest, opens its doors to visitors every summer.

Following the success they experienced during their recent visit to Nigeria, it has been reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are eyeing up a number of other future tours to countries such as Malta and Ghana. Questioning whether the couple would be ready to undertake a world tour, royal reporter Louise Roberts told Sky News Australia: "In May, after Nigeria, and that was a successful faux royal tour for them, let's face it, Harry made the comment they want to do more of this."
