Alec Baldwin doesn’t like a showoff.The “30 Rock” actor, 66, revealed that he took a yoga class with Paul McCartney, 81, in Los Angeles years ago, and he called the musician an “a–hole” because the musician was so good at yoga. “He would do a handstand or a headstand and he had the most lithe body you’ve ever seen, and back then he was in his late 60s, and he was so fit,” Baldwin said on the “Our Way with Paul Anka and Skip Bronson” podcast on Wednesday.
Baldwin recalled how he mouthed off to McCartney after the Beatles legend did a headstand and then told Baldwin that he was leaving the class to take one of his daughters to lunch.“I looked up at him after he does the headstand and I go, ‘You’re an a–hole,’ ” Baldwin said. “And I never thought I’d call one of The Beatles an a–hole, but he was just always showing us up with his physical skills.
He was a very fit guy.”Baldwin revealed that other male celebrities took the yoga class with them, including “Saturday Night Live” creator Lorne Michaels. However, McCartney outshined everyone when it came to his yoga skills.
Later in the podcast, Baldwin confirmed that he and his family — which includes his wife Hilaria Baldwin and their seven children — are moving from LA to Vermont. Baldwin is still dealing with his criminal case in New Mexico, where he’s facing a charge in the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the Western film “Rust.”He was pointing a gun, supposedly filled with blanks, at Hutchins during a rehearsal when the revolver went off.
