Valerie Campbell, who worked on Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life as a costumer supervisor, is spilling the biggest tea from the show.
At the end of A Year in the Life, which debuted on Netflix several years ago as a four-episode continuation of the longrunning hit WB series, Rory (Alexis Bledel) revealed to her mom Lorelei (Lauren Graham) that she’s pregnant.
However, the show never told us who the father of Rory’s baby is, despite there being a few options.
The suspects are her boyfriend Paul, her one night stand with a man dressed as a Star Wars Wookiee, and her on-again/off-again boyfriend Logan (Matt Czuchry).
It appears as if Valerie knows who the father is and is telling fans that it was supposed to be obvious!

Valerie declared, “In Winter she is sleeping with Paul, maybe, maybe not, she might have forgotten to do it. But she definitely forgot to break up with that guy. But…she definitely wasn’t sleeping with him.”
After sleeping with the Wookie in the “Spring” episode of A Year in the Life, Valerie said, “If it was the Wookie she would definitely be showing [in the Fall episode] and we never gave her a pregnancy belly. That is very, very important. We never gave her one, we were never instructed to give her one. It is definitely not the Wookiee.”
She added, “The only obvious choice is—you guessed it—Logan. And Amy [Sherman-Palladino, the show's creator] herself said, why are people even questioning who the father is? It’s because it was supposed to be very, very, very, very, very obvious.”

Author Douglas Coupland once wrote in his seminal 1991 slacker work, “Generation X: Tales for an Accelerated Culture,” that “nostalgia is a deadly weapon,” and one supposes those words can be cautionary tales about our youth, what we romanticize and what potentially holds us back from growing because we can’t move on past it. I’m not exactly sure what that has to do with the new documentary, “‘The Elephant 6 Recording Co.,” about the late ‘90s recording collective The Elephant 6, mostly comprised of lo-fi indie bands from in and around Athens, Georgie, other than to say after watching this appropriately chaotic, shaggy and baggy documentary, Coupland’s quote immediately flashed back into my memory.
