The long awaited spin off to HBO’s fantasy hit Game of Thrones will begin airing this month, focusing on the Dance of Dragons war. The show is set to be a dragon filled extravaganza set years before the events of the original series.
House of the Dragon will air weekly from Monday, August 22, 2022, on Sky and Now in the UK with ten episodes billed for the first season. The series will follow the Targaryen civil war, where the powerful family fought among themselves for control of the Iron Throne.

Targaryens are not an exiled family without a secure claim to the crown this time, they are a dynasty of kings and have solidified their power with dragon fire.
