When is Celebrity MasterChef 2022 on this week? Start time and which stars are taking part

It is arguably the toughest show in telly and a fresh bunch of famous faces are set to take it on. Of course, we can only be talking about Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins which is making a much welcome return to Channel 4 on Sunday night (September 4).

Celebrity MasterChef spoilers follow. Tonight's (September 2) episode of Celebrity Masterchef 2022 saw the last two semi-finalists chosen in a fiercely contested cooking battle. Contestants Ryan Thomas, Kitty Scott-Claus and Lisa Snowdon battled it out in the hopes of getting to the next stage of the competition, but it was unfortunately Ryan who was sent home.

Cooking to keep their place in the kitchen tonight were actor Ryan Thomas, Drag Race UK’s Kitty Scott-Claus, Strictly professional Katya Jones and TV star Lisa Snowdon.

Celebrity MasterChef fans will see actor and disability advocate Adam Pearson take to the famous BBC kitchen this week, who has told Metro. co. uk how much he ‘relished’ the opportunity to take on the challenge. Adam is one of five famous faces set to take part in the final heats of the series as the competition continues to hot up.

Celebrity MasterChef fans noticed chef John Torode had more than a little in common with everyone’s favourite sci-fi classic Star Trek. Viewers flocked to Twitter to point out the 57-year-old looked as though he’d borrowed from the wardrobe of Captain Kirk on Thursday’s episode. While deliberating which celebrity to send home out of Lesley Joseph, Richard Blackwood, Kirsty Gallacher and Jimmy Bullard, the TV personality sported a rather throwback get-up.

This week saw dancer and reality star MoJo, choir leader Gareth Malone, boxing champion Chris Eubank, EastEnders alumni Cliff Parisi and All Saints' Mel Blatt compete to get through to the next round.

Comic Vic Reeves topped a “poncey” corned beef hash with a poached egg, and served it with parsnip soup and beetroot in 2017 – and sailed through to the quarter-finals.

Masterchef's Faye Winter has revealed why she wanted to take part in the BBC One cookery competition. The former Love Island star, 27, took to Instagram to share her reasoning - she is doing it for her dad, who was seriously ill with Covid. The post comes after Faye broke down to judge John Torode during the quarter-finals of the show.

This time he was back to actually judge the quarter finals - much to the surprise of viewers. Paul Elliott, of ChuckleVision fame, was facing off against Love Island's Faye Winters and McFly's Danny Jones for a spot in the semi-finals.
