Celebrity MasterChef spoilers follow. Tonight's (August 19) episode of Celebrity MasterChef saw Mel Blatt, Cliff Parisi and Gareth Malone battle it out for two semi-final places. The celebrities had to cook for not only the judges but former Celebrity MasterChef contestants Vicky Pattison and Neil 'Razor' Ruddock and the 2018 champion John Partridge.
Despite the strong competition, it was Gareth Malone who was eliminated, meaning Mel and Cliff are in the semis. From the start, it was Mel who stood out with her menu and cooking skills. The singer had changed her dishes last-minute to something she felt was more to her taste, making a cheese fondue with steak sandwiches and an open haddock lasagna.

"If Mel gets all the work done I'll be full of admiration," John said. Her starter went down well with the judges, earning a "winner winner cheesy dinner" from John Partridge and Vicky.
However, on the main course, Mel was cutting it fine with 15 minutes to go and no pasta sheets made. Vicky was also cautious about the dish, saying that none of the ingredients were to her taste. Despite the pressure, she managed to get the meal completed, impressing all the judges and managing to change Vicky's mind on smoked fish.
"Well when I'm wrong I'm wrong," she said, pleasantly surprised at the meal. Meanwhile, Gareth and Cliff also impressed with their menus but unfortunately the pressure got to the pair while cooking.
