West Lothian Sky broadband customers were without internet for last night and most of this morning after a problem with the network.
Sky confirmed that customers in Armadale, Bathgate, Fauldhouse, Harthill, Shotts, Stoneyburn and Whitburn were all left without broadband until around 11.30am.
Frustrated locals took to social media to try and find out what was going on.
One Twitter user said: "Is there a fibre outage in Scotland Central Belt? Working from home in West Lothian and cannot get online at all. Tried restarting router but nothing happening."
Another posted: "Has there been an outage reported in the West Lothian area this morning? We've not been able to get our WiFi back online on our end."
A spokesperson for Sky confirmed there had been an issue, but the company had fixed it this morning.
They added: "The towns impacted were Armadale, Bathgate, Fauldhouse, Harthill, Shotts, Stoneyburn and Whitburn.
"The issue has now been resolved."
