Manchester United fans were excited to see Amad Diallo back with a ball at his feet and suggested there could be a spot in the first-team waiting for him.
Amad hobbled off the pitch with a knee injury during the pre-season friendly against Arsenal in July, leaving the MetLife Stadium on crutches. He has not featured for the United since, but a series of social media posts have allowed supporters to track his progress.
Following an excellent loan spell in the Championship with Sunderland, the 21-year-old was hoping to break into the first-team picture under Erik ten Hag but saw his pre-season cut cruelly short. It is hoped he could return to full training before Christmas and a promising update was posted on Tuesday.

Amad posted a short video on Instagram of himself doing some kick-ups, alongside the caption: "happy to touch the ball again".
United fans were understandably happy to see their young winger step up his recovery and suggested there may be a chance for him to grab a first-team place. Ten Hag is currently short of quality in that area, with Antony and Facundo Pellistri yet to register a goal or assist between them.
Jadon Sancho has been unavailable since the last international break, having been exiled from the first-team after refusing to apologise to Ten Hag. He looks set to leave the club in January, but fans believe his spot can be taken up by Amad.
