We Don’t Talk About Bruno dominates Official Singles Chart with seventh consecutive week at Number 1

George Ezra's Anyone For You tops the Official Trending Chart today, on its way to cracking the UK Top 10 for the first time. 

Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation hearings kicked off on Monday with opening statements from Judiciary Committee members, as networks prepared to cover the weeklong proceedings with an eye for recognizing when they’ve become a bit of a slog.

Dave’s Starlight could be heading for its third week at Number 1 this Friday, although Aitch & Ashanti could mount a challenge with Baby – last week’s highest new entry – still Dave’s closest competition at Number 2.

Disney’s animated musical Encanto has taken the world by storm and dominated music charts over recent weeks. However, while Dos Oruguitas was submitted for best original song, the biggest hit from the film wasn’t eligible for a nomination. But, as the 94th Academy Awards takes place later this month, the first live performance of We Don’t Talk About Bruno will hit the stage.

In fact, the musical-theater bop was not even in the running for best original song because Disney decided to instead submit the love-song “Dos Oruguitas” for awards consideration.Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote the music for “Encanto,” has defended the decision to push “Dos Oruguitas” instead of “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.” “I’m still proud of ‘Dos Oruguitas’ as the submission,” Miranda previously told Variety.

Saint West has a pretty singing tone! Kim Kardashian’s son showed his musical abilities in a recent video on Kim’s Instagram Stories.The Kardashians star posted a clip of Saint playing with filters while Encanto’s “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” song played in the background. After digitally changing the color of his eyes, the 6-year-old proceeded to belt out, “We don’t talk about Bruno…but it was my wedding day.

Even the Kardashian kids are obsessed with “Encanto”.

Kim Kardashian and her son, Saint, are showing off their impressive singing skills! The alum shared a video on her Instagram Stories featuring her and Kanye “Ye” West’s 6-year-old son singing the hit, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.”  In a series of videos, Kim and Saint try out a filter that gives them different color eyes — while the song blares in the background. Kim plants kisses her son’s cheek, as he looks in the camera and notices the filter has changed his mom’s eye color. “I want blue eyes,” says Saint, who proceeds to have some fun with the color-changing effect before he belts out, “I have green eyes!”  In the next video, the mother-son duo sweetly sings along to the track, as it continues to play in the background.

Dave could be celebrating his second week at Number 1 in the UK this week, as surprise single Starlight is currently top of today’s Official Chart First Look Update. Last week, Starlight debuted at Number 1 with the biggest opening week of the year so far.

Dave’s Starlight has debuted straight at the top of the Official Singles Chart. It marks the acclaimed rapper’s second UK Number 1 single, following 2018’s Funky Friday featuring Fredo. 

Starlight by Dave becomes the British rapper’s first Number 1 on the Official Irish Singles Chart.

We Don’t Talk About Bruno also continues its firm grip on the Official Singles Chart, furthering its lead at Number 1 in our First Look Update. It’s looking at a seventh week at the top of the chart.
