Netflix has unveiled a new trailer for ‘Wham!‘, an upcoming feature-length documentary about the ’80s pop duo of the same name.The documentary, which is slated for release on Netflix globally on July 5, takes a look at the history of George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley and their time in Wham!, from the time they had first met as teens, to their pinnacle of stardom and behind-the-scenes look at the group’s ups and downs during the height of their fame, while also paying tribute to the life and career of Michael.‘Wham!’ features archival footage from the duo’s history and never-before-seen interviews with George Michael, Andrew Ridgeley and more. Angelique Jackson Sylvester Stallone’s life and career is getting the retrospective treatment courtesy of the Netflix documentary “Sly,” which chronicles the highs and lows of his near 50-year Hollywood career. “Do I have regrets?” Stallone asks in a teaser that dropped on Friday. “Hell yeah, I have regrets.” “Sly” is directed by Thom Zimny (“Springsteen on Broadway”) and produced by Sean Stuart, with the documentary to begin streaming in November. The official logline explains what’s to come: “For nearly 50 years, Sylvester Stallone has entertained millions with iconic characters and blockbuster franchises, from ‘Rocky’ to ‘Rambo’ to ‘The Expendables.’ This retrospective documentary offers an intimate look at the Oscar-nominated actor-writer-director-producer, paralleling his inspirational underdog-story with the indelible characters he has brought to life.”

Brent Lang Executive Editor MTV Documentary Films has released a first look teaser for “The Eternal Memory,” a look at love and Alzheimer’s disease that won the grand jury prize for world documentary at this year’s Sundance. A U.S. theatrical release kicks off on Aug. 11 in New York. It will be followed by engagements in Los Angeles and San Francisco on Aug. 18, with a limited national roll out to follow. Chilean filmmaker Maite Alberdi directed the movie, which could be a contender for the documentary Oscar. Alberdi is the Academy Award-nominated filmmaker behind “The Mole Agent.” To that end, “The Eternal Memory” played at the Berlin Film Festival, where it was the runner up for the audience award. A robust international festival campaign is already in the works, including stops at CPH:DOX, Hot Docs, and DocAviv, Hamptons Summer Docs and DC DOX.

For the third year in a row, the awards show will be split into two broadcasts, beginning with a pre-show hosted by Julianne Hough and Skylar Austin, which will stream live on Pluto TV at 6:30 p.m. ET. The proper ceremony will directly follow at 8 p.m. ET, with “West Side Story” star Ariana DeBose returning to host for the second year in a row. The three-hour ceremony will broadcast live on CBS and stream simultaneously on Paramount+. The full telecast will also be available to stream on-demand for all membership tiers following the livestream.
