IVE will be making a comeback with new music in August.On July 18, South Korean news outlet Asia Today reported that the six-member rookie girl group will be making a summer comeback next month. IVE’s agency Starship Entertainment then responded to the report via Newsen, confirming that “IVE is working hard to prepare with the aim of making a comeback in August,” as translated by Soompi.Further details on the project’s release date and format are expected in the coming weeks.The forthcoming release will mark the girl group’s second project of 2022, arriving just four months after their second single album ‘Love Dive’.

HBO have shared the first teaser trailer for The Idol – the forthcoming drama series created by “the sick and twisted minds of” The Weekend (aka Abel Tesfaye) and Euphoria helmer Sam Levinson.Tesfaye will star in the series as a self-help guru, club owner and leader of a modern-day cult, who begins dating an up-and-coming pop artist played by Lily-Rose Depp. Little else is known about the story driving The Idol, but according to its trailer, the series will chronicle “the sleaziest love story in all of Hollywood”.Across just over a minute of footage, viewers are presented with an onslaught of sex, drugs, violence, corruption, choreographed dancing and the declaration that “there’s nothing about [Depp’s as-yet-unnamed character] that’s relatable”.

David Dobrik is facing a major lawsuit from former Vlog Squad member Jeff Wittek after a 2020 stunt gone wrong.According to court docs obtained by ET, Wittek is seeking $10 million in damages for «general negligence and intentional tort,» alleging that he missed out on work and sustained hospital bills due to the intense injuries he suffered as a result of the incident.In Wittek's filing, he claims that while being swung on a rope tied to an excavator while filming a video with Dobrik in Provo, Utah, in June 2020, Dobrik spun the construction equipment at «unsafe speeds» before slowing the machine suddenly, causing Wittek to collide with the side of the excavator. Wittek claims he suffered «a myriad of injuries» including a broken skull, facial fractures and eye damage — something Wittek discussed in his 2021 YouTube docuseries, , where he shared more details about the incident.In light of his alleged injuries, per the docs, Wittek is seeking both compensatory and punitive damages.Dobrik addressed the incident in March on his  video podcast.   «The Jeff thing is the f**king worst,» Dobrik said during the episode.
