Watch the cast of ‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ play ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ together

Baldur’s Gate 3’s companion characters came together to play a one-shot campaign of Dungeons & Dragons which was livestreamed this weekend.Hosted by Mark Hulmes of High Rollers Dungeons & Dragons, the scene was set by Amelia Tyler, who voices the narrator of Baldur’s Gate 3. Then, Theo Solomon as Wyll, Samantha Béart as Karlach, Jennifer English as Shadowheart, Devora Wilde as Lae’zel, Neil Newbon as Astarion and Tim Downie as Gale started their adventure without the player’s input. The premise was that the custom character that the player pilots, normally named Tav, was stuck in a paralysis spell that none of their companions could cure. As a result, they were left to their own ends, spelling a variety of chaotic events like Shadowheart adopting an Imp which she named Bing Bong to Lae’zel’s chagrin. In fact, Solomon’s actions as Wyll were the anchor that prevented the rest of the characters from strolling into harm’s way.

Suicidal Tendencies frontman Mike Muir fell off stage during the band’s show in Ontario, California on Saturday (September 23) – watch the video below. The hardcore punk legends were opening for US metal band Danzig when Muir took a tumble off the front of the stage at the Toyota Arena. The band were playing their opening song of the set, ‘You Can’t Bring Me Down’, which is taken from their 1990 album ‘Lights… Camera… Revolution!’.Footage captured by a fan shows the moment that Muir missteps as he walks near the edge of the stage. A few seconds later, with the aid of a technician, Muir is able to get back to his feet to complete the song, seemingly unaffected by the fall.As well as Danzig, the bands Behemoth, Twin Temple and Midnight were also on the bill.Next month, Suicidal Tendencies will play a number of shows in the US to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their debut self-titled album, including at New York City’s Terminal 5 on October 15 and two dates at The UC Theatre in Berkeley, California on October 19 and 20.

‘Peep Show’ reunion could happen when Mark and Jeremy turn 70

Peep Show could return when the characters are “old men” in their seventies. The actor, who played Jeremy in the Channel 4 sitcom, reaffirmed the idea in an interview with NME to mark the show’s 20th anniversary.“We’ve always said that it would be funny to go back and see them as old men,” Webb said. “Living in the same flat and having the same arguments… I think probably this side of, shall we say, 70?”His co-star David Mitchell, however, believes any future reunion should be a “totally separate thing”.“It’s nice that people still give a shit… I don’t want to tack anything onto the end of it,” Mitchell said.

Is that like My Chemical Romance or something?” When the host asked him if he knew the song, Smith shook his head “no” and responded, “It’s some kind of emo thing.”He had heard of Thirty Seconds To Mars, however – “Ahhh! ‘Peep Show’ writer reveals abandoned plans for a stage adaptation

Peep Show co-writer Sam Bain has revealed that they received offers to turn the hit Channel 4 sitcom into a play.Speaking exclusively to NME, Bain said that he and fellow co-writer Jesse Armstrong (Succession) had to reject the proposal because they couldn’t figure out how to make the show work on stage. Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, Peep Show documented the increasingly tragic lives of bank manager Mark Corrigan (played by David Mitchell) and his layabout flatmate/ occasional musician Jeremy Usborne (played by Robert Webb). The iconic comedy was shot through a POV perspective with the actors performing to camera, while the characters’ internal thoughts were added as narration. This format proved to be revolutionary, but it was one Bain and Armstrong knew they wouldn’t be able to replicate on stage.“There was an offer to do a live Peep Show, a stage show, after the last series, which we did carefully consider because it was coming from some proper people,” said Bain.

Ricky Gervais saved ‘Peep Show’ from being cancelled

Ricky Gervais was among those who managed to save Peep Show from cancellation in its early days. The cult sitcom, which starred David Mitchell and Robert Webb as dysfunctional housemates Mark and Jeremy, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this week.In a piece reflecting on the show’s legacy with The Guardian, script editor Iain Morris discussed how Channel 4 were not keen on the show in its infancy, and considered cancelling it.“The channel hated it because it wasn’t rating and they didn’t really understand it,” Morris explained. “I spent a lot of time defending it, probably to the detriment of my career.”Gervais, however, was one of the show’s big early supporters, and helped the network decide to keep it on air.“He kept talking about it.

‘The Simpsons’ Steamed Hams scene has been mashed up with ‘Peep Show’

The Simpsons‘ iconic Steamed Hams scene has been mashed up with audio from Peep Show — you can watch the end product below. The amusing mash up was first shared by a Peep Show Facebook fan page called DobbyClub06 back in 2018, but was recently reposted on their Instagram account. In the memorable Steamed Hams scene from The Simpsons, Principle Skinner invites Superintendent Chalmers over to his house for a roasted ham. However, after noticing that the food is burnt, he sneaks out the window to buy some Krusty burgers, which Chalmers refers to as steamed hams. The mashup in question simply replaces the scene’s audio with memorable Peep Show quotes from main characters Mark (David Mitchell) and Jeremy (Robert Webb). From “Four naans, Jeremy? That’s insane” to “That’s not Nigella, that’s not even Ainsley, mate”, the quotes almost perfectly tie up with the events in the scene.
