Harry Styles led a round of applause for the Queen during his gig at New York’s Madison Square Garden last night (September 8).Queen Elizabeth II died yesterday at her Balmoral estate in Scotland, bringing her 70-year reign to an end. She was 96 years old.Styles took a moment to pay tribute to the monarch during his latest gig at the New York arena, telling the crowd: “From my homeland, there was some very sad news today: the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.”The pop star then asked the 20,000-capacity audience to “join me in a round of applause for 70 years of service”.

Harry Styles joked about spitting on Chris Pine last night (September 7) as he returned to the stage for a concert in New York.It follows a viral clip at the premiere of Don’t Worry Darling in Venice earlier this week which many viewers believed showed Styles spitting on co-star Pine as he took his seat next to him.A source close to Styles told The Guardian that “this is not true”. Pine’s rep also released a statement to People, denying that the incident took place.“This is a ridiculous story – a complete fabrication and the result of an odd online illusion that is clearly deceiving and allows for foolish speculation,” Pine’s representative said.

Harry Styles is breaking his silence after a viral video had fans convinced that Styles spit on his co-star, Chris Pine, at the Venice Film Festival premiere of their upcoming film.A clip started circulating online Monday of 28-year-old Styles taking his seat next to 42-year-old Pine at the film's premiere in Italy. The New York Film Festival on Tuesday revealed its Spotlight section lineup, which includes the world premiere of She Said, Universal’s drama based on the work of New York Times reporters Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey who investigated and wrote the bombshell 2017 Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse story.

Fleet Foxes performed a cover of The Strokes’ 2003 song ‘Under Control’.The band played to roughly 13,000 fans at the Forest Hills Stadium on Saturday (August 13), where they were supported by Nigerian singer-songwriter Uwade. She joined Robin Pecknold and co. for their Strokes cover – as well as three other songs in their career-spanning setlist – which came as part of an “encore” that ran for more a third as long as the rest of the show.Oddly, too, Fleet Foxes weren’t the only act to cover ‘Under Control’ at show in New York last weekend.
