Father John Misty has announced a series of headline UK and European tour dates for 2023 – buy tickets here.The tour will take place in support of the singer-songwriter’s upcoming fifth studio album, ‘Chloë And The Next 20th Century’, which comes out this Friday (April 8) via Sub Pop/Bella Union.Misty (real name Joshua Tillman) will head out on a North American tour this summer; the European shows begin on February 25, 2023 in Oslo, Norway at Sentrum Scene and end March 17 at the at O2 Apollo Manchester. The father of a murdered police officer has backed calls for a new posthumous award for emergency service workers who die in the line of duty. Bryn Hughes has endorsed a new campaign to persuade the government to launch a new award for police officers, firefighters, paramedics and prison officers killed in service. Neither his daughter Nicola Hughes, 23, from Saddleworth, nor her colleague Fiona Bone, 32, from Sale, were ever given such an award, although there are memorials to their sacrifice.

Radiohead side-project The Smile have shared their third new single of the year, an eerie cut titled ‘Pana-vision’.The trio – comprising Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood and Sons of Kemet drummer Tom Skinner – shared the new song over the weekend. It’s built around haunting instrumentals, such as piano, strings and brass, and the ghostly refrain “like a newborn child“.The single arrived alongside an accompanying music video with equally eerie graphics, courtesy of animator Sabrina Nichols and artist Stanley Donwood.

Radiohead‘s Thom Yorke has shared a new single titled ‘That’s How Horses Are’, written for the final season of Peaky Blinders.The song is a stunning piano-driven piece, that swells with the addition of strings about halfway through. A haunting and atmospheric cut, it joins Yorke’s March release ‘5.17’, which also features in the Peaky Blinders sixth season.Listen to ‘That’s How Horses Are’ below. Speaking to NME in February, Peaky Blinders director Anthony Byrne revealed that Yorke and Radiohead bandmate Jonny Greenwood had contributed some new and original music to the show’s final season.“I’m over the moon about all of that,” he told NME.

Foals have shared their latest single, ‘Looking High’ – you can listen to the new track below.The song is the latest preview of the trio’s upcoming new album ‘Life Is Yours’, which is set for release on June 17.Having originated as a demo by guitarist Jimmy Smith, ‘Looking High’ came to life after Smith reunited with Foals frontman Yannis Philippakis and drummer Jack Bevan post-lockdown.Produced by John Hill (and featuring co-production by Miles James and additional production by A.K. Mark Tuan has dropped his latest single, ‘lonely’.The singer, who is also a member of the K-pop boyband GOT7, unveiled the song today (March 24) alongside an accompanying “visualiser”, which sees Tuan performing from a solitary, black couch in the middle of an otherwise empty room, with the word “lonely” written across the floor.“I like it better when I’m lonely, lonely, all alone / I never needed you to hold me, hold me, keep me close / And you know I gave you everything /Thеn you went and said to me / That you like it bеtter lonely, lonely, all alone” he croons on the chorus.‘lonely’ was co-written by Tuan, alongside Matty Michna and lilspirit, the latter of whoa slo co-wrote the singer’s last two singles. Arcade Fire have confirmed that they will make their comeback with new single ‘The Lightning I, II’ this week (March 17).The Canadian band last released an album in 2017 with ‘Everything Now’, and have since shared 45-minute track ‘Memories Of The Age of Anxiety’ for a meditation app in 2021, and released a live version of political cut ‘Generation A’ in late 2020.Over the past few weeks, the band have been teasing their return.
