For decades, HBO has been an anchor of the cable portion of Television Critics Association’s press tour with the network’s signature three-hour block of wall-to-wall panels packed with big stars. This summer, for the first time in as long as anyone can remember, there will be no HBO presence at TCA in Pasadena. In fact, the entire newly merged Warner Bros. Discovery is skipping the upcoming press tour as the company is going through the integration process, including layoffs, with the next wave rumored to come during TCA.

reported, Bong will co-produce the film through his company Offscreen along with Dooho Choi for Kate Street Picture Company and Brad Pitt’s Plan B, which was also one of the producers of “Okja.” Yeun will next appear in Jordan Peele’s horror feature “Nope” with Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer. He also has dramedy series “Beef” with Ali Wong in the works at Netflix and A24.

She will report to Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter in her new role, which will see her heading up television operations for the company. A new film spinoff of the popular animated web series has been announced, which will feature characters from the Justice League.The announcement was made on Friday during RTX Austin, a convention hosted by digital media company Rooster Teeth. During a panel for “RWBY,” the cast and crew — including writers and directors Kerry Shawcross and Eddy Rivas, supervising producer Laura Yates and voice actors Lindsay Jones, Barbara Dunkelman, Arryn Zech and Kara Eberle — dropped the news for the upcoming film, along with other announcements.The crossover will be the first film set in the “RWBY” universe and will be animated by the same team as the web series.

Television.In addition, Benoist has officially signed on to star in and produce the upcoming HBO Max-WBTV series “The Girls on the Bus.” She was first reported as being in talks for the series back in February.Under the terms of the overall deal, Benoist and Three Things will continue to develop and produce programming across all platforms for WBTV. Benoist runs three things with Sahar Kashi, the company’s vice president of development.“The Girls on the Bus” is inspired by a chapter in Amy Chozick’s book “Chasing Hillary.” Benoist will play Sadie McCarthy, a journalist who romanticizes the original “Boys on the Bus” and who scrapped her whole life for her own shot at covering a presidential campaign for the paper of record.

Melissa Benoist and her production banner Three Things Productions has renewed its overall deal with Warner Bros. Television Group as the former Supergirl star officially joins HBO Max series The Girls on the Bus.

Warner Bros. Discovery has revealed its lineup for this year’s San Diego Comic-Con which runs July 21-24.
