Joe Otterson TV ReporterThe revival of “iCarly” has been renewed for Season 3 at Paramount+.This will mark the ninth season of the series overall, as the original show ran for six seasons on Nickelodeon between 2007 and 2012. The third season of the revival will debut in 2023.“’iCarly’s’ loyal fan base grew up with Carly, Spencer and Freddie, and have now fallen in love with Harper and Millicent, too,” said Tanya Giles, chief programming officer of streaming for Paramount+.

Joe Otterson TV ReporterRodney Barnes has renewed his overall deal with HBO for a further three years, Variety has learned.Barnes most recently worked as a writer and executive producer on the premium cabler’s hit series “Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty.” Barnes was credited with co-writing nine episodes of the show’s 10-episode first season. The show was renewed for a second season in April, with Barnes continuing on with the show as writer and executive producer.Under the terms of the deal, Barnes will continue to develop, write, and produce shows in a variety of formats under his Rodney Barnes Productions banner.Barnes’ past TV credits include shows like “Everybody Hates Chris,” “Wu-Tang: An American Saga,” “The Boondocks,” and “My Wife and Kids.” His current development slate include: the feature adaptation “Ride Around Shining” at Netflix; a miniseries on Tiger Woods; a feature for New Regency with Jordan Vogt-Roberts attached to direct.

Joe Otterson TV ReporterProduction on the FX revival of “Justified” was halted after two cars engaged in a rolling gun fight broke through barricades on the set.Variety has confirmed that on Wednesday night the two cars broke through the barricades while the show, titled “Justified: City Primeval,” was filming in Chicago near Douglass Park. No one in the cast or crew was injured in the incident.

Brent Lang Executive Editor of Film and Media“My Policeman,” a historical drama with Harry Styles,” will have its world premiere at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival. The move signals that the Amazon Studios release has some awards season ambitions. Styles is also appearing in “Don’t Worry Darling,” another Oscar hopeful that is hitting theaters this fall after working the festival circuit.

Two Harry Styles movies will be on both sides of the pond this fall. While Venice is getting New Line’s Don’t Worry Darling, which the pop sensation stars in, the Toronto International Film Festival will also be playing the world premiere of Amazon Studios’ My Policeman, in which Styles also stars.

Joe Otterson TV ReporterNBC has ordered the drama “Found” to series, Variety has learned. In addition, the network is passing on its pilots “Blank Slate” and “Unbroken.”“Found” hails from writer and executive producer Nkechi Okoro Carroll with Shanola Hampton set for the lead role. The show is built around the fact that, in any given year, more than 600,000 people are reported missing in the U.S. More than half that number are people of color that the country seems to forget about.

A genial lord with unusual interests, he has wealth and a noble title to back up his eccentricities.

She previously directed two episodes in Season 1, including both the penultimate episode and the season finale.

Channing Tatum is going to space with Scarlett Johansson!

He will share showrunning duties with series creator/executive producer Nkechi Okoro Carroll.

The Apple Original Films production has suffered a bit of musical chairs since the streaming giant swept in and landed the package for a reported $100 million-plus.Scarlett Johansson, who also produces, has remained on board since the film’s inception.

Apple’s high-profile space pic Project Artemis looks to be gearing up and also seeing two major changes as Deadline is hearing that Channing Tatum is in talks to co-star opposite Scarlett Johansson while Greg Berlanti will now direct the pic. Tatum replaces Chris Evans, who had to part ways with project due to scheduling conflicts with his upcoming pics Pain Hustlers and Big Red One. That said, Apple and Evans just wrapped production on the upcoming action adventure romcom Ghosted that all parties are excited about. Berlanti steps in for Jason Bateman, who as Deadline first reported last month, amicably parted ways with the film due to creative differences. Berlanti is particular about what he commits to as a director and insiders say not only was he super excited about the opportunity but his take on the script excited both Apple execs and producers about what he wants to do for the film.

In her role, she will be responsible for development and production of the company’s television slate, which includes working with creators, writers, and producers.“I truly believe the key to success in today’s content landscape is working with Executives who have a specific understanding of audience’s tastes and a keen ability to execute on them,” Packer said.

Warner Bros. TV’s Leigh London Redman has been tapped as the new president for Berlanti Productions. The executive is expected to start her post in September, where she will be heading up television operations for the company and reporting to partners Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter.Redman previously served as the executive vice president of drama development at Warner Bros.

They join previously announced cast members Natalie Portman, ’Lan Noel, Mikey Madison and Brett Gelman, as well as Moses Ingram. The series is an adaptation of Laura Lippman’s novel of the same name.

Discovery. Variety has learned exclusively that the newly merged company is planning to sell off its office complex in Knoxville, Tenn.The announcement came from WBD CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels in a memo to the company’s staff obtained by Variety.
